If you've got a project for children or young people in mind or already on the go, come along to this informal monthly meetup and let's talk everything writing for children. This is an opportunity to get to know other writers who write for a young audience, share your progress (or lack thereof), discuss ideas and challenges, and support each other on your writing journeys. Poets, fiction and non-fiction writers all welcome.
You’ll be supported by Beverley who has published two books for children, won a Northern Writers Award for her YA novel and who has worked as a consultant in children’s literature.
These Meet-ups take place in The Writers Workshop in Orchard Square, Sheffield though zoom joining can sometimes be accommodated.
There is space in this session for you to receive feedback on a chapter or 1000 words (or equivalent) of you work. There is now an extra charge of £10 for this part of the session.
(Please note that is no wheelchair access to The Writers Workshop and that there are some stairs to navigate. We hope to address this in future. If you have any other access needs, please do get in touch.)
Meet-ups are £5 for members of The Writers Workshop and £10 for non-members. To find out more about joining, click here
